We want to thank Kevin and Brie Bielecki, and Chris and Mari Sanner, for coming and sharing with us at Missions Encounter earlier this month. Also, a big thanks to Palos Hills Christian Assembly for hosting the event. If you have never been to Missions Encounter, or have not in a while, come check it out!<\/p>\n

Next month, we\u2019ll have Mike & Rachel Maletich, who minister among Kurds in northern Iraq<\/strong><\/span> at ME. Mike will speak about ministry among this Mesopotamian people group, the largest ethnic group in the world without a state of their own.<\/p>\n

Also, we\u2019ll hear from Wayne Shepherd <\/strong><\/span>about the work of Mission Eurasia<\/strong> in <\/strong><\/span>Eastern Europe and Central Asia<\/span>. <\/strong>Seeking to transform their countries for Christ, Mission Eurasia trains, equips, and mobilizes national Christian leaders for evangelism and church-planting throughout the post-Soviet states.<\/p>\n

Did you know that 40,000 Israelis travel the world for an average of six months following their mandatory army service before they begin college or career? Earlier this month we heard from Andy Ferrier of the Midwest Messianic Center about reaching Israeli Jews for Christ through a network called<\/mark><\/strong> Host Israelis<\/mark><\/a><\/strong>. This is a great opportunity for believers to show hospitality and share the Good News with young Israeli travelers. For the second half of Missions Encounter we heard from Louis Dooley of<\/mark> Philemon House<\/a>, <\/strong>a local ministry to those who are or have been incarcerated.<\/strong> <\/mark>The appropriately named Philemon House comes from the NT book of the same name. The Apostle Paul, speaking of Onesimus with whom he had been \u201cdoin\u2019 time\u201d, says to Philemon, \u201cformerly he was useless to you, but now he has become useful both to you and to me,\u201d (Philemon 11). God is working to transform the lives of incarcerated men!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you Louis, and thank you Andy, for sharing with us, and a big thanks to Oak Lawn Bible Chapel for hosting this month\u2019s Missions Encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next month, we\u2019ll have coming to us from \u201cLand of Enchantment,\u201d Kevin Bielecki, a missionary to the Navajo Nation, the largest reservation in America.<\/strong> <\/mark>Kevin and Brie, and their seven sons, live and work among Navajo Native Americans, teaching shop mechanics while sharing the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also - just confirmed - Chris and Mari S., who serve Muslims in a closed country in Africa through relief and development,<\/mark> <\/strong>will be speaking at June\u2019s Missions Encounter. If you have never been to a Missions Encounter, or have not in a while, come check it out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
